RECREATIONAL COMPS

Climb with friends and learn how competitive climbing events work. Every competitor gets a free t-shirt, so really… everyone wins!


These events are part of the USA Climbing Recreational Series created to run in parallel to the existing Youth Series and support athletes interested in a less competitive experience. Recreational events are a great developmental platform for athletes new to the sport of climbing or simply seeking a fun way to learn the basics of the sport without the pressure of rankings. 


IMPORTANT: All Recreational Competition participants are required to have a USA Climbing membership.

QUALIFYING EVENTS

 The Source hosts Fall and Spring Youth Qualifying Events sanctioned by USA Climbing. These are an opportunity for young climbers to compete with other climbers in order to qualify for championship events (Regional, Divisional, and National) in the USA Climbing competition season. 

How to get involved:

Step 1: Become a USA Climbing Member.
Step 2: Find the Qualification Events available on the Region 12 page. 
Step 3: Register for a Qualification Event via the USA Climbing Member Portal.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We have best volunteer community in climbing, and it is because of this that many of these events are possible!  Support young climbers in our region by helping with event checkins, judging and belaying.  Experience is not required.  ALL VOLUNTEERS get a (free) USA Climbing Volunteer membership and access to online training.
